Our Farm and Story

We came to Miller Cove Farm in 2017 and this represented the beginning of a journey aimed at the regeneration of our land. The land had been hayed aggressively for many years and our initial soil analysis demonstrated significant deficiencies in soil organic matter, calcium, magnesium, and other essential nutrients. We were inspired by the works and farms of Mark Shepard, JM Fortier, Conner Crickmore, Charles Massy, Gabe Brown, Allan Savory, John Kempf, Neil Kinsey, John Jeavons, Ben Falk, Farmer Jesse, Joel Salatin, Daniel Griffith, Michael Phillips, Zach Bush, and Eliot Coleman in the creation of our farming mindset and mission. We seek to use regenerative and integrative farming principles to create nutritious food that is healing to both the body and land.

Mission Statement

Grow nutrient dense, natural food for our local community that is regenerative to both land and body

Hippocrates is often attributed with saying, β€œLet food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” As a physician I believe this be true. In our lifetimes we will eat about 45,000 pounds of food! Why not feed our bodies thousands of pounds of natural food grown using regenerative principles that also feeds the land thousands of pounds of organic matter every year!?
